Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Graduated from Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver with
Honors.
Worked as head ceramic teacher at Aberthau Culture Center.
Arrived in Japan on a Japanese Ministry of Education Scholarship.
Studied oriental ceramics at Idemitsu Museum of Arts for four years.
Became a research scholar at the Ceramics Department, Tokyo National
University of Fine Arts and Music for three years under Prof. Yoshimichi
Fujimoto and Prof. Kouichi Tamura.
Set up "Kaede/Maple-Leaf Studio"in Atami, Shizuoka Pref.
Awarded The Cultural Achievement Prize of Shizuoka Pref.
